"Loveyapa" Box Office Flop: Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan Starrer Suffers Heavy Losses

Last Updated: 12-02-2025

The release of Sanam Teri Kasam during Valentine's Week significantly impacted the earnings of several major films. Due to the immense popularity of romantic films among audiences, this film outperformed others at the box office.

Entertainment: Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan's Gen-Z love story, "Loveyapa," failed to attract audiences to theaters. The film touched upon serious issues relevant to today's youth, such as relationship dynamics, lack of trust, and phone addiction. Critics praised the film, particularly Junaid Khan's acting performance.

However, the box office story was different. The film, released on February 7th, 2024, faced competition from Himesh Reshammiya's Badass Ravikumar. "Loveyapa" was already struggling at the domestic box office due to Badass Ravikumar, but the release of "Sanam Teri Kasam" further hampered its earnings.

As a result, within just five days, the box office collection of the Khushi-Junaid film plummeted. Tuesday's collection was extremely disappointing, clearly indicating audience rejection.

The film opened with ₹1.15 crore on its first day, raising hopes of gradual growth. While the weekend saw a slight increase in collections on Saturday and Sunday, the release of "Sanam Teri Kasam" on Monday worsened "Loveyapa's" situation.

The film's earnings drastically dropped from crores to lakhs, and the situation deteriorated further on Tuesday. According to early reports from Sacnilk.com, "Loveyapa" earned only ₹4 lakhs on Tuesday, indicating a significant decline.
