New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) undertook a significant organizational restructuring on May 22nd, aiming to strengthen its presence nationwide. The party appointed new in-charges and co-incharges for several states. This move is largely seen as a strategic expansion initiative, particularly in view of upcoming elections. Delhi Minister Atishi shared the list, extending her best wishes to all the newly appointed leaders for their new responsibilities.
Newly Appointed In-charges:
According to the list released by AAP, several key figures have been assigned responsibilities:
- Dilip Pandey has been appointed as the NRI Coordinator.
- Jitendra Singh Tomar has been appointed as the in-charge for Madhya Pradesh.
- Rituraj Govind has been given the responsibility of Himachal Pradesh.
- Mahendra Yadav has been appointed as the in-charge for Uttarakhand.
- Dheeraj Tokas has been given the responsibility of Rajasthan.
- Prakash Jarwal has been appointed as the in-charge for Maharashtra.
All these leaders are veteran party workers with grassroots experience, now tasked with strengthening AAP's organization in their respective states.
Co-incharges Also Announced
Along with the main in-charges, the party has also appointed co-incharges in several states to expedite organizational work:
- For Uttar Pradesh, along with Dilip Pandey, Vishal Ravi, Anil Jha, and Surendra Kumar have been appointed as co-incharges.
- Ghanendra Bhardwaj has been given this responsibility in Uttarakhand.
- Vijay Fulara has been appointed as the co-incharge for Himachal Pradesh.
- Party sources indicate that these appointments are not solely focused on election strategy but also represent a significant step towards spreading AAP's ideology nationwide.
Atishi Congratulates Newly Appointed Leaders
Delhi Minister Atishi, sharing the list on the official AAP X (formerly Twitter) account, congratulated all the newly appointed leaders. She stated, "Best wishes to all of you for your new responsibilities. Now is the time to strengthen the change further."
Her message clearly indicates the party's high expectations for these leaders to not only strengthen AAP in their respective states but also to effectively address grassroots issues.
AAP's Expansion into Student Politics: ASAP Continues to Grow
Beyond mainstream politics, AAP is expanding its reach into student politics. The party's student wing, ASAP (Association of Students for Alternative Politics), has established a presence in Delhi University (DU) and several other colleges.
Deepak Bansal, Joint Secretary of ASAP, informed that a helpline number will soon be launched to enable students to directly reach the party with their concerns. Additionally, ASAP plans to honor the top 12th-grade students in every district of Delhi.
