Akhilesh Yadav criticizes CM Yogi's "part-time politics" statement, urging Delhi residents to remove him. The Samajwadi Party also opposed the Waqf Amendment Bill.
UP News: The political climate in Uttar Pradesh has once again heated up. Akhilesh Yadav, the national president of the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Member of Parliament from Kannauj, has sharply reacted to a recent statement by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He stated that Delhi residents should remove such a Chief Minister.
Akhilesh Yadav targets Yogi
Akhilesh Yadav said that every leader in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is engaged in a competition to appear superior. Regarding CM Yogi's statement, he said, "The Chief Minister himself says that politics is a part-time job for him, then Delhi residents should remove such a Chief Minister."
He also alleged that the BJP is only playing vote-bank politics to remain in power and is diverting attention from the people's issues.
Akhilesh's stance on the Waqf Amendment Bill
Akhilesh Yadav also targeted the BJP regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill. He stated that the Samajwadi Party will completely oppose this bill. Even if there is a vote on it, the party will stand against it. He alleged that the BJP is taking such decisions only for political gain, which increases tension in society.
Targeting NDA allies, the SP chief said that leaders should respect the sentiments of the people from whose constituencies they hail.
BJP loves "land" – Akhilesh
Attacking the BJP, Akhilesh Yadav said that the party has an excessive love for land. He alleged that "the BJP sold railway land, defense ministry land, and now Waqf land will also be sold."
He claimed that the BJP is taking such steps only to hide its failures. He also said that there is a competition within the BJP to determine who will become the biggest leader and who will prove to be the most staunch Hindu.
CM Yogi's controversial statement
In an interview given on Tuesday, April 1st, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said, "I am the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh; it is my party's decision. But politics is not a full-time job for me. In fact, I am a Yogi. As long as I am, I will work with complete honesty."
