Amit Shah: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, and Ajit Pawar attended a program held at Raigad Fort in Maharashtra on Saturday, on the death anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. In his address, Amit Shah lauded Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's unparalleled courage and leadership, urging that his legacy not be limited to Maharashtra. He emphasized that Shivaji Maharaj was a great leader of the nation, and his heritage belongs to all of India.

Shivaji Maharaj's Contribution

In his speech, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that when Shivaji Maharaj was born, the entire country was enveloped in despair and fear. Even South India was in a state of decline; at that time, the principles of Swarajya and Swadharma were considered criminal. But a 12-year-old boy rose against this situation, began fighting for Swarajya, and resolved to hoist the saffron flag from the Indus to Kanyakumari.

He said, "Under Shivaji Maharaj's leadership, the Marathas defeated the Mughals, and their extraordinary strategy and valor paved the way for the Indian freedom struggle."

Amit Shah's Personal Experience

Sharing his personal experiences, Amit Shah said that when he paid homage to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's throne, the emotions he felt were difficult to express in words. Shah explained that participating in this event made him realize that Shivaji Maharaj's bravery, struggles, and ideology cannot be confined to Maharashtra alone. His legacy and ideals should be spread throughout the country.

His Legacy from South India to Other Parts of India

Amit Shah also said that Shivaji Maharaj's influence was not limited to Maharashtra. His Mavlas reached Attock, Cuttack, Bengal, and the South. Shivaji Maharaj's army laid the foundation of an invincible empire, and he shook the Mughal empire without hereditary lineage or substantial resources. Shah said, "This journey of Swarajya gave Indians a true sense of freedom, and his name is respected in every corner of the country."

Shivaji Maharaj's Ideology

Emphasizing Shivaji Maharaj's ideology, Amit Shah said that his principles of pride in Swadharma, the aspiration for Swarajya, and respect for one's language are not bound by any limits. He said, "This ideology remains a source of inspiration throughout the world and is respected in every country as a pillar of human dignity."
