Last Updated: 1 hour ago

Following the Kumbh Mela, a wave of faith is expected to surge in Ayodhya for Ram Navami. Lakhs of devotees are visiting Ram Lalla daily, and the crowds are anticipated to increase significantly for the Janmotsav (birth anniversary celebrations).

Ayodhya: While the impact of the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela is gradually waning, Ayodhya is expecting a massive influx of devotees for Ram Navami in April. Currently, three to four lakh devotees are visiting Ayodhya daily to see Ram Lalla. With the newly constructed magnificent Ram Mandir, participation in Lord Shri Ram's Janmotsav holds special significance for devotees.

Shri Ram Janmbhumi Teerth Kshetra Trust Begins Preparations

Witnessing the immense crowds of devotees, the Shri Ram Janmbhumi Teerth Kshetra Trust has initiated preparations. They are working on plans to ensure smooth darshan arrangements to manage the expected surge in April. Over 15 million devotees have visited Ayodhya to see Ram Lalla in the past six weeks, indicating a potential for even larger numbers during Ram Navami.

Increased Devotee Numbers During Kumbh Mela

When the number of devotees unexpectedly surged during the initial days of the Kumbh Mela, Ayodhya also saw a corresponding increase in visitors. This increased pressure on management, but the district administration and the Trust collaboratively controlled the situation. Darshan time was extended, entry and exit points were separated, and vehicular restrictions were imposed on Ramnagar's roads.

Lakhs of Devotees Visiting Daily

Even after Mahashivratri, three to four lakh devotees are visiting daily. As Ram Navami approaches, the Trust is proactively preparing to manage the crowds and prevent any unrest.

Special Amenities for Devotees

Matting to be Laid on Darshan Route

Considering the intense April heat, plans are in place to lay matting on the darshan route to ensure devotees' comfort.

Traveler Assistance Centers and Pure Drinking Water

In addition to the traveler assistance center near the Ram Janmbhumi path, pure drinking water will be provided at five other locations.

Canopy Arrangements for Rest

Canopies will be set up at various points to provide devotees with resting areas.

Plans to Increase the Number of Darshan Lanes

Plans are underway to increase the number of darshan lanes and repair existing ones, depending on the number of devotees.

Considering Extending Darshan Duration

Considering the immense number of devotees, extending the darshan duration is also being considered to enable more people to easily see Ram Lalla.

Potential for Historic Crowds During Ram Navami

A historically large number of devotees are expected in Ayodhya on Ram Navami. The Trust and administration are fully prepared to ensure devotees face no difficulties. This year will mark the first grand celebration of Ram Lalla's Janmotsav in the newly constructed magnificent Ram Mandir, offering a unique and historic experience for devotees.
