Opposition parties have bly reacted to the BJP's decision. Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray attacked the BJP, calling it a "gift of power." Thackeray stated, "BJP leaders had given the slogan 'Divide and Rule' in Maharashtra, and now they are distributing the Saugat-e-Modi kits. This is merely a scheme to serve political interests." He alleged that the BJP is taking this step to gain advantage in the Bihar elections.

Contents of the Kit

The 'Saugat-e-Modi' kit will include food items and clothing. The kit will contain vermicelli (sewaiyan), sugar, dates, dry fruits, and other food items. Women will receive suits, and men will receive kurta-pajamas. Sources indicate that each kit will cost between ₹500 and ₹600. 32,000 BJP workers will operate this campaign through 32,000 mosques across the country.
