Chhattisgarh News: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday (March 18). Upon returning to Raipur on Wednesday (March 19), he provided detailed information about the meeting. The Chief Minister stated that he informed PM Modi about the BJP's historic victory in the recent municipal corporation and panchayati raj elections.
What did PM Modi say?
CM Sai said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi attributed our victory to good governance, development, and the people's trust. He commended the Chhattisgarh government's policies and spoke of accelerating development in the state." The CM also mentioned that the Prime Minister will be visiting Chhattisgarh on March 30.
Strong stance on Naxalism
The Chief Minister discussed with Prime Minister Modi the ongoing anti-Naxal operations in the state and the achievements of the security forces. He stated that the Chhattisgarh government is fully committed to restoring peace in the state and accelerating development work in Naxal-affected areas.
Discussions on urban development with Manohar Lal Khattar
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai also met with Union Minister for Urban Development, Manohar Lal Khattar. During this meeting, they held detailed discussions on the development of Chhattisgarh's peri-urban areas. The CM explained that the state government is working towards strengthening the urban infrastructure through municipal bodies and Smart City initiatives.
₹3 lakh crore investment in the state
CM Sai stated that an investment of ₹3 lakh crore will be made in Chhattisgarh over the next few years. This investment will be across various industries, infrastructure, energy, and other sectors. He said, "We are working on increasing production in every sector of energy over the next 5-7 years. This investment will generate new employment opportunities for the state's economic development and youth."
'Master Plan' presented for Bastar
The Chief Minister presented a detailed 'Master Plan' for the development of Bastar to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under this plan, Naxal-affected areas will be equipped with basic amenities and developed as new centers for tourism and industrial development.
The CM stated that the state government is creating special schemes to improve road, electricity, water, and health facilities in Bastar. Furthermore, the establishment of various industries is being considered to create new employment and business opportunities in this region.
