Up to 150 Haryana Officials Face Action for Unauthorized Registrations

Haryana News: Approximately 150 officials and employees in Haryana may face disciplinary action for conducting land registrations without the necessary No Objection Certificate (NOC). A task force from the Revenue Department has submitted a report to the government listing the officials involved in these illegal registrations. Financial Commissioner Dr. Sumita Mishra has indicated b action will be taken, and strict measures will be implemented against corrupt officials under the direction of the Chief Minister and Revenue Minister.

Officials Involved in Illegal Registrations

The task force has uncovered illegal registrations in several tehsils. These unauthorized registrations have occurred in numerous areas, including Gurugram, Sonipat, Pataudi, Sohna, Panchkula, Karnal, and Manesar. The report identifies approximately 150 officials and employees involved, ranging from District Revenue Officers and SDMs to Tehsildars, Patwaris, and registry clerks.

Crackdown on Corruption, Strict Action Planned

Financial Commissioner Dr. Sumita Mishra stated that chargesheets, departmental action, and suspensions against the implicated officials may be initiated soon. The Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, and the Revenue Minister, Vipul Goyal, have indicated a firm stance on this matter, signaling b action will be taken.

Plans for Modernized Registry Offices

The state government plans to modernize registry offices. All tehsil offices will be upgraded with IT-based systems to streamline and enhance transparency in the registration process. The Financial Commissioner also hinted at upgrading registry offices to a level comparable to passport and visa offices, potentially allowing for online land registration applications from home.
