Security forces received intelligence indicating militant activity within the forests of the Bhalra forest area in Bhaderwah, Doda district. Based on this information, the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the Special Operations Group (SOG) launched a joint search operation. During the operation, a militant hideout was discovered containing a significant cache of weapons and ammunition.

The following items were recovered from the militant hideout:
One pistol
Three pistol magazines
Six rounds of pistol ammunition
Twenty-five rounds of AK-47 assault rifle ammunition
However, no suspects were arrested during this operation. Security forces believe the militants used the location as a temporary hideout and were planning a larger attack.
Operations Continue in Other Areas
Search operations are also ongoing in the forests of Gurinal, Thathri, and Chatru in Kishtwar district, in addition to Doda. Following reports from local villagers on Thursday about suspicious activity in high-altitude areas, the Army, Police, and CRPF launched a large-scale search operation. Given the recent increase in terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir, security forces are vigilant in thwarting any potential plots.
