Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah Receives Setback in MUDA Case; Court Orders Continuation of Investigation. ED Granted Permission to File Objection on Lokayukta Report.

CM Siddaramaiah News: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah suffered a setback in the MUDA case when a special court in Karnataka ordered the Lokayukta police to continue their investigation. This case pertains to MUDA land allotment, with allegations leveled against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his family.

The court also allowed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to file an objection to the Lokayukta report. The court stated that the police should complete their investigation, and no order will be passed on the B report until then. The court adjourned the next hearing of this case to May 7, 2025.

Siddaramaiah Received Relief Two Months Ago

Previously, two months ago, Siddaramaiah and his family received relief in the MUDA case. The Lokayukta police had stated that no evidence was found against the CM and his wife in this case. In February 2024, Siddaramaiah was summoned and appeared before the Lokayukta police, where he was questioned for approximately two hours.

What are the Allegations?

This case is related to the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA), where it is alleged that CM Siddaramaiah illegally allotted a site to his wife. This allotment allegedly occurred during the BJP government's tenure in Karnataka. RTI activist Snehammayi Krishna filed a writ petition in the High Court demanding a CBI investigation into the allotment of 14 sites from MUDA to Siddaramaiah's wife, Parvati.
