West Bengal: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched a scathing attack on the central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Accusing them of politicizing the controversial "Operation Sindur" issue, she labeled it a "political Holi," stating that the name was deliberately chosen for political gain. She also openly challenged PM Modi to a live debate by announcing the election dates immediately.
Operation Sindur and Political Holi: Mamata's Allegation
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee stated that while all opposition parties are unitedly raising their voices in the national interest and attempting to convey their message internationally, the central government is playing political games. She expressed her support for "Operation Sindur" but alleged that PM Modi is holding rallies across the country for political advantage. Banerjee clearly stated that the central government's strategy aims to divide the most sensitive parts of the country and exploit the situation for political gains.
Mamata Banerjee said, "While the opposition is raising its voice to save the nation's prestige, the Prime Minister is trying to defame the country. He is conducting 'Operation Bengal,' aimed solely at targeting West Bengal."
Challenge for a Live Election Debate
Mamata Banerjee challenged Prime Minister Modi, stating, "If you have the courage, announce the election dates tomorrow and let's have a live debate. We are ready; Bengal is completely ready." She emphasized that the people will decide who is right and who is wrong in the election.
Insult to Bengal's Women: Mamata's Rebuke
CM Mamata Banerjee accused PM Modi of insulting the women of Bengal. She said, "We respect everyone, but we cannot respect anyone at the cost of our self-respect. If anyone wants to conduct 'Operation Bengal,' announce the election date; we are ready."
Banerjee stated that the women of Bengal have always stood up for their rights and dignity and will not tolerate any kind of insult. This statement is considered to intensify the political climate before the elections.
Mamata's Attack on the Madhya Pradesh Incident
Mamata Banerjee also voiced her concern about the incident involving BJP leader Manoharlal Dhakar in Madhya Pradesh. She described what happened in Madhya Pradesh as shameful, likening it to a vulgar video circulating on the streets, and stating that such incidents are a profound insult to women.
