BSP Supremo Mayawati Accuses Congress, BJP, and SP of Dividing Dalit Votes

UP Politics: BSP chief Mayawati, in a press conference in Lucknow, accused the BJP, Congress, and SP of conspiring to weaken the BSP. She indirectly targeted Chandrashekhar Azad, reiterating her demand for elections to be conducted using ballot papers instead of EVMs. Mayawati declared the BSP the only true Ambedkarite party in the country and advised the marginalized communities to be wary of opportunistic organizations.

Major Accusation Against Opponents: Conspiracy to Weaken BSP

In a press conference in Lucknow, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati launched a scathing attack on opposition parties. She accused the BJP, Congress, and Samajwadi Party (SP) of conspiring to weaken the BSP. Mayawati stated that these parties are deliberately attempting to divide the votes of Dalits and backward communities and are creating fake organizations to mislead the marginalized sections of society.

Mayawati said, “Self-serving and opportunistic individuals, who are not from the Bahujan Samaj, are being bought to create separate organizations and harm the BSP.”

Indirect Attack on Chandrashekhar Azad

Although Mayawati did not name anyone directly, her remarks were clearly aimed at Azad Samaj Party president and MP Chandrashekhar Azad. Notably, on June 1st, Chandrashekhar commented on Mayawati's nephew, Akash Anand, stating that the public had already rejected him. In response, on June 2nd, Mayawati likened his party to a "summer frog".

In Thursday's press conference, Mayawati continued this line of attack, stating that these individuals are weakening Ambedkarite parties like the BSP due to their lust for power. She added, "Such people are driven by personal interests rather than the ideologies of Babasaheb Ambedkar or Kanshi Ram.”

BSP Declared the Only True Ambedkarite Party

Mayawati emphatically stated that the Bahujan Samaj Party is the only true Ambedkarite party in the country. She said that the BSP's mission is to secure the rights of the most backward, Dalit, and marginalized sections of society, while other parties merely feign concern for their welfare for electoral gains.

Renewed Demand for Ballot Paper Elections

In the press conference, Mayawati again questioned the EVMs (Electronic Voting Machines), claiming that opposition parties manipulate them to defeat the BSP. She noted that other opposition parties are now also raising questions about EVMs, suggesting irregularities.

Mayawati said, “Our party has long advocated for elections using ballot papers. Until elections are held using ballot papers, the situation will not be favorable for the BSP. If elections are held using ballot papers, the BSP's good days may return.”
