Mayawati uses Ambedkar Jayanti to signal her 2027 UP election strategy, urging the Bahujan Samaj to join the BSP and leverage their voting power to secure power.

UP Politics News: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati revealed her strategy for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections on the occasion of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar's 134th birth anniversary. While paying tribute to Baba Saheb in Lucknow, she appealed to the Dalit, backward, tribal, and minority communities to join the BSP with an "Ambedkarite ideology" and take the reins of power into their own hands.

Empowering the Bahujan Samaj

Mayawati stated that the Bahujan Samaj must now recognize the strength of their vote. She reiterated, "Our unity is our greatest weapon. Only if we gain power through the vote can we build the society envisioned by Baba Saheb."

Targeting both the Congress and the BJP, the BSP chief alleged that these parties had only made promises, while the conditions of the Bahujan Samaj remain unchanged. She highlighted issues of reservation, education, employment, and economic opportunities, stating that these sections of society are being neglected.

Appeal for Constitutional Ideals in Governance

Mayawati asserted that "until those in power adopt a constitutional ideology, 'Developed India' will remain merely a slogan." She advised against caste-based and self-serving politics.

Tributes Paid Across the State

Under BSP leadership, tribute programs and seminars were organized across Uttar Pradesh and the country to commemorate Dr. Ambedkar's birth anniversary. Activists paid their respects at various locations, including the Dr. Ambedkar memorial in Lucknow, the National Dalit Inspiration site in Noida, and Delhi.

Engaging Youth in the Mission

This year, BSP workers participated in the programs with their families, especially the youth. Efforts were made to spread Baba Saheb's ideals to the masses through social media, posters, and public gatherings.

Mayawati also expressed concern about the safety of minorities in the country and cautioned the Bahujan Samaj against "parties supporting the Dhanaseths" (wealthy elites). She concluded, "The time has come for the Bahujan Samaj to come forward and, by adopting Ambedkar's ideals, empower India."
