The Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya remains a focal point of faith and attraction for devotees from India and around the world, drawing large crowds daily. Meanwhile, preparations are underway to install two new statues within the temple complex.
Uttar Pradesh: Devotees will soon have the opportunity to view two new statues at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. Nripendra Mishra, the president of the temple construction committee, has announced the installation of statues of Jatayu and a squirrel within the temple complex. The Jatayu statue has already been installed at the Kubera Tila, while the squirrel statue will be placed at a designated location shortly.
Significance of Jatayu and Squirrel Statues
Both Jatayu and the squirrel played crucial roles in the Ramayana. Jatayu, a mighty bird, fought Ravana to save Sita and sacrificed his life. The squirrel contributed to the construction of the bridge by Lord Ram, using its small strength to assist in the building process. The installation of these statues within the Ram Temple complex will remind devotees of these immortal tales from the Ramayana.
On March 23rd, Nripendra Mishra, president of the Shri Ram Temple construction committee, inspected the ongoing construction and stated that the aim is to complete the entire temple complex by 2025. The temple's shikhar (spire) is expected to be completed by April, and the construction of the seven temples will also be finalized soon. Statues of the deities will also be installed at that time.
A New Center of Attraction for Devotees
Recently, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Ayodhya and offered prayers to Ram Lalla. He stated that three generations of his family have been dedicated to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement and that he remains committed to the construction of the Ram Temple under any circumstances. The CM's visit lasted approximately five hours, during which he also reviewed the progress of the temple complex.
The Ram Temple is a symbol of faith for millions of Hindus in India and across the globe. With the installation of the Jatayu and squirrel statues within the temple complex, it will offer devotees a new spiritual experience. In the coming days, devotees will be able to connect more deeply with the epic saga of Lord Shri Ram through the darshan (viewing) of these statues.
