He alleged that Rana Sanga paved the way for Babur's entry into India and that if Muslims are Babur's descendants, then BJP members are Rana Sanga's descendants. This statement sparked significant political controversy.

Former BJP MP Sanjeev Baliya bly reacted to the SP MP's statement. He accused Suman of engaging in appeasement politics, claiming his remarks insulted the Rajput and Hindu communities. Baliya demanded that the SP apologize to the entire nation for this statement.
