SpiceJet Resumes Flights to Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Mumbai from Dehradun Airport After Two-Year Hiatus
Dehradun Airport: SpiceJet recommenced flights from Dehradun airport to four major cities on Sunday, under its new summer schedule. The airline had ceased operations from this airport two years ago but has now resumed services.
Airport Officials Extend Congratulations
Dehradun airport officials expressed their delight at the resumption of SpiceJet's services and offered their congratulations to the airline. Airport Director Prabhakar Mishra stated that the renewed operation of flights to Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Mumbai will provide passengers with improved facilities.
Boost to Tourism and Transportation
Nitin Kadayan, Deputy General Manager of the airport, explained that the new flight services will offer passengers more options, and the increased traffic will benefit the state's tourism industry. Furthermore, it will create new employment opportunities for airport staff.
High Passenger Turnout on Sunday
According to SpiceJet's Sunday flight data, 119 passengers arrived on the Bengaluru flight, and 61 departed. 130 passengers arrived from Ahmedabad, and 86 departed for Ahmedabad. There was also significant passenger traffic to and from Delhi and Mumbai, resulting in a noticeable increase in air traffic at the airport.

The event celebrating the resumption of SpiceJet's services was attended by Nikhil Semwal and Ritesh Dubey from SpiceJet headquarters, Station In-charge Asna Anand, Airport Manager Mohit, and other officials.
