According to a report by the North Korean state-run KCNA, Kim Yo Jong warned the US, stating: "Since the formation of the new US government, political and military provocations against North Korea have increased. This clearly indicates a continuation of the hostile policies of the previous administration. This attitude from America justifies the strengthening of our nuclear program."
South Korea's Strong Response
South Korea responded bly to Kim Yo Jong's threats. The South Korean Ministry of Defense called her statement false and misleading, urging North Korea to abandon its nuclear ambitions, citing them as a threat to global security.
The South Korean Navy confirmed the arrival of the USS Carl Vinson, a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, at Busan port. This marks the first visit by the carrier to a South Korean port since the beginning of Trump's second term.
