Enraged by his dismissal and the breakdown of their friendship, Divanshu created a fake social media profile of the woman with malicious intent. According to the police, he not only created an account in the woman's name but also posted sexually explicit manipulated images and her mobile number. This act severely violated the woman's privacy.
Accused apprehended through the cyber police's technical investigation
On March 11, 2025, the victim filed a complaint with the Outer Delhi Cyber Crime Cell, following which the police registered a case under the IT Act. The cyber team conducted a thorough technical investigation. Through IP address tracking, call detail records, and digital surveillance, the accused's location was identified. Finally, after a planned raid, Divanshu was arrested.
