India Meteorological Department Predicts Rain, Hail Across the Country

The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and hail in various parts of the country on February 20. Light to moderate rain is expected in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Bihar, and Uttarakhand. Furthermore, light to moderate rain and snowfall are anticipated in several areas of Northeast India due to the influence of western disturbances.

Weather: India is experiencing fluctuating weather conditions. In Uttar Pradesh, the mornings and evenings are becoming colder with b winds, while Bihar is also experiencing a similar chill due to windy conditions. Snowfall in Kashmir has led to a drop in temperature. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings of heavy rain and hail in several regions. Light rain is likely in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, and Sikkim.

Western disturbances are likely to cause rain in Northeast India, with light to moderate rain and snowfall expected in Arunachal Pradesh until February 20. During this weather change, people are advised to take precautions against the cold, and farmers are urged to remain vigilant to protect their crops.

Meteorological Department Warns of Rain and Hail in Various Parts of the Country

Due to a western disturbance, light rain is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Uttarakhand from February 17. A rain alert has also been issued for Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, and western Uttar Pradesh between February 18 and 20. Delhi is expected to have cloudy skies on Saturday, with a maximum temperature of around 27 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 11 degrees Celsius.

Rain is possible in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Bihar on February 20. Due to the sudden change in weather, people are advised to take appropriate precautions and remain vigilant against the cold and rain.

Delhi's Weather Forecast?

Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 10 degrees Celsius on Saturday, one degree below the average for this time of year. According to the Meteorological Department, Sunday will see partly cloudy skies with a maximum temperature around 27 degrees Celsius. The humidity was 84 percent at 8:30 AM. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi's air quality was recorded in the 'Moderate' (160) category around 9 AM on Saturday.

Rajasthan's Cold Wave Retreats

The effects of the cold wave have diminished in most parts of Rajasthan with a rise in temperatures. According to the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, the highest maximum temperature on Friday was recorded at 35.6 degrees Celsius in Barmer, while the lowest minimum temperature was 8.8 degrees Celsius in Karauli. Other cities in the state also saw temperature increases, including 33.3 degrees in Dungarpur, 32 degrees in Bikaner, 32.8 degrees in Jaisalmer, 32.2 degrees in Chittorgarh, 32 degrees in Bhilwara, 31.8 degrees in Udaipur, 31.7 degrees in Jodhpur, 31.4 degrees in Nagaur, 30.1 degrees in Dausa, Baran, and Kota, 30 degrees in Churu, 30.6 degrees in Vanasthali (Tonk), and 30.5 degrees Celsius in Ajmer.

Jaipur recorded a maximum temperature of 29.3 degrees Celsius on Friday. The Meteorological Department stated that light rain or drizzle is possible in Jaipur, Bikaner, and Bharatpur divisions between February 18 and 20 due to the activation of a western disturbance.
