Weather conditions have once again shifted across Northern India, including Delhi-NCR. The effects of continued snowfall and rainfall in the mountainous regions are clearly visible in the plains.

Weather: Weather patterns have changed across Northern India, including Delhi-NCR. The impact of persistent snowfall and rainfall in the mountainous regions is evident in the plains. Delhi, the national capital, is experiencing light rain and cool winds, giving a distinctly wintry feel. According to the meteorological department, temperatures may slightly decrease in the coming days, and wind speeds might increase.

Decreasing Temperatures and Cool Winds in Delhi-NCR

On March 3rd, Delhi-NCR recorded light rainfall with cloudy skies, resulting in a minimum temperature of 15.6 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature reached 28 degrees Celsius, slightly above normal. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), sunny days are expected in the coming days, but mornings and evenings will remain cool. Light rainfall with b winds is possible on March 6th.

Snowfall in Kashmir, Rainfall in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand

Northern India's mountainous states are experiencing snowfall. Fresh snowfall has been reported in Gulmarg, Sonmarg, Pahalgam, and Kupwara in Kashmir. Himachal Pradesh's higher altitudes have also recorded snowfall, leading to a significant temperature drop. Several areas in Uttarakhand, including Badrinath, Kedarnath, and Auli, have also experienced snowfall. The meteorological department has predicted more snowfall in these areas within the next 48 hours.

Temperature Fluctuations in UP and Bihar

Uttar Pradesh is experiencing dry weather, but variations in wind patterns are causing a noticeable difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures. Days will be sunny, but evenings will be cool. The meteorological department has predicted light rainfall in some areas of the state on March 6th and 7th. In Bihar, daytime temperatures have risen to 30 degrees Celsius, creating a warm feeling. However, light rainfall is anticipated in some districts of Bihar on March 8th and 9th, potentially leading to cooler weather.

Cool Winds in Rajasthan, Rising Temperatures in Jharkhand

Rajasthan has witnessed fluctuating weather conditions in recent days, with alternating cloudy skies and intense sunshine. The meteorological department expects a slight temperature drop on March 5th and 6th, followed by a rise from March 7th onwards. Strong dust storms are also possible in Western Rajasthan.

Jharkhand is also experiencing changing weather. Cool winds may cause a three to four-degree drop in temperature, providing some relief. However, this respite will be short-lived, and temperatures will begin to rise again after March 7th. The meteorological department does not foresee any rainfall during this period.

What to Expect in the Coming Days?

According to meteorologists, snowfall and rainfall in the mountainous regions may continue for several more days, impacting the plains. Cool winds and fluctuating temperatures are expected in Delhi-NCR and many other states of Northern India in the coming days. However, the influence of warmer weather will gradually increase from the second week of March.

Those who thought winter was completely over will need to wait a little longer. This fluctuating weather in Northern India provides temporary relief but also presents some challenges.
