Asian U18 Athletics Championships: India successfully concluded its campaign at the Asian Under-18 Athletics Championships held in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, winning 11 medals. The Indian athletes won one gold, five silver, and five bronze medals in the tournament. The highlight of the 2025 Asian U-18 Athletics Championships was Himanshu's gold medal win in the javelin throw. This was India's first-ever gold medal in this event. Himanshu's throw of 67.57 meters not only secured him the gold but also added a new chapter to the history of Indian athletics. His outstanding performance surpassed China's Lu Hao (63.45 meters) and Uzbekistan's Ruslan Sadullayev (61.97 meters).

16-year-old Nishchay won double medals at the Asian U-18 Athletics Championships. Nishchay secured a silver medal in shot put with a throw of 19.59 meters and a bronze medal in discus throw with a distance of 58.85 meters. Aarti's Bronze Medals - A Double Success

Aarti won bronze medals in both the 100-meter and 200-meter races. She clocked 11.93 seconds in the 100-meter race and 24.31 seconds in the 200-meter race, both personal bests. Aarti's efforts not only earned her bronze medals but also strengthened her prospects for future success.

In the boys' high jump event, Devak Bhushan secured a silver medal with a jump of 2.03 meters. He narrowly missed the gold medal by 0.2 meters, which was won by Kuwait's Mohammed Alduaj. Devak's jump was undoubtedly a stellar performance, bringing pride to Indian athletics.

Excellent Performance by India's Relay Teams

In the boys' middle relay race, Chiranth P, Syed Sabir, Saket Minj, and Kadir Khan won a silver medal. This relay team completed the race in 1:52.15 seconds, setting a new youth national record. The previous record was 1:52.96 seconds, which this team surpassed.

In the girls' relay race, the team of Aarti, Prisha Mishra, Edwina Jason, and Tannu could not finish the race, but their valiant efforts showed the potential of India's female athletes for future success. However, Anchal Sajesh Patil narrowly missed a medal in the girls' high jump event. Her performance was good, but she finished just behind the bronze medal position. Nevertheless, her effort is a beacon of hope for the future.
