Indian Market Dips Despite Positive GIFT Nifty Futures; Q3 Results Drive Volatility

Stocks to Watch Today: Amidst mixed global market trends, the Indian stock market is expected to open positively on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. GIFT Nifty futures were trading at 23,174, up 21 points, at 7:15 AM.

However, the market witnessed a significant decline on Tuesday. The Sensex plummeted 1,018 points (1.32%), closing at 76,293.60, while the Nifty 50 index fell 310 points to 23,072.

Q3 Results Announcements Today

Stocks expected to generate market activity include Ashok Leyland, Bajaj Consumer Care, Crompton Greaves, Hindustan Aeronautics, Jubilant Foodworks, Muthoot Finance, and Siemens. These companies will be announcing their third-quarter results today.

Company-wise Updates:

SAIL:
Steel Authority of India (SAIL)'s December quarter profit declined by 66% to ₹141.89 crore, compared to ₹422.92 crore a year ago.

Vodafone Idea:
Telecom company Vodafone Idea (Vi)'s losses reduced to ₹6,609.3 crore. The company's operating revenue increased by 4% to ₹11,117.3 crore.

Berger Paints:
Paint company Berger Paints' profit decreased by 1.4% to ₹295.97 crore, compared to ₹300.16 crore last year.

IRCTC:
Railway PSU company IRCTC increased its quarterly profit by 14% to ₹341 crore, compared to ₹200 crore in the same period last year.

HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited):
Defense sector giant HAL aims to reach an order book of ₹2.2 lakh crore by 2030. Currently, the company has orders worth ₹1.2 lakh crore.

NBCC:
NBCC sold 1,233 housing units for ₹3,217 crore through an e-auction in a new project in Greater Noida.

EIH Ltd:
EIH, the parent company of the Oberoi hotel group, has decided to postpone its proposed investment in Pune for the time being.

Shriram Finance:
The company aims to increase its green portfolio by 20 times in the next three years.

TCS:
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will work on modernizing the depository system of Oman's central securities depository, Muscat Clearing and Depository (MCD).

Signature Global:
Real estate company Signature Global registered pre-sales of ₹8,670 crore during April-December of fiscal year 2024-25, a 178% increase compared to the previous year.

NTPC:
NTPC is holding preliminary talks with several foreign companies for expansion into nuclear energy.
