Klaus Schwab: Klaus Schwab, Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), has resigned from his position. He had been associated with this prestigious institution for 55 years, actively serving as Chairman and a member of the Trustee Board. Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, Vice-Chairman, has been appointed as the interim successor.

Klaus Schwab Explains His Reason for Resignation

In an official statement, Klaus Schwab cited his advancing age, now entering his 88th year, as the reason for his decision. He stated, "I have served the World Economic Forum for more than five decades. The time has come for me to relinquish my responsibilities as Chairman and member of the Trustee Board."

Board Accepts Resignation and Initiates Search for New Chairman

At a board meeting on April 20th (Sunday), members accepted his resignation and expressed gratitude for his service. A Search Committee has been formed to find a permanent successor. Brabeck-Letmathe's appointment is currently an interim arrangement.
