Hanuman's Journey to Nagaloka: Unveiling the Mystery of Lord Rama's Ring

Lord Shri Rama reigned over the sacred land of Ayodhya, a symbol of justice, righteousness, and prosperity throughout the world. After completing his earthly life, Shri Rama sent a message to Yama (the god of death), inviting him to take him. However, Yama hesitated to enter Ayodhya. Therefore, Lord Rama devised a special plan, entrusting Hanuman with a divine task connected to an extraordinary secret.

 

 

One day, Lord Shri Rama dropped his ring into a small crack in the palace wall. He then called Hanuman and said, "Hanuman, my ring has fallen into the crack; can you retrieve it?" Hanuman, completely devoted to Lord Rama, entered the crack without question. But this crack was no ordinary hole; it was a mystical gateway leading to the depths of Patala Loka (Nagaloka).

 

 

Upon reaching Patala Loka, Hanuman encountered Nagraj Vasuki. Vasuki, the king of Nagaloka, welcomed Hanuman respectfully and asked, "O son of the wind, what is the reason for your arrival in Patala Loka?" Hanuman humbly replied, "O Nagraj, my Lord Rama's ring has fallen into your realm, and I have come to find it."

 

 

Nagraj Vasuki took Hanuman to a vast cave and showed him a pile of rings. Hanuman was astonished because all the rings bore the inscription "Shriram." Hanuman asked Vasuki, "All these rings bear the name Shriram; which one is the real ring?" Nagraj Vasuki smiled and said, "These are all Shri Rama's rings. It is a divine play, and this is the mystery revealed to you."

 

 

Nagraj Vasuki explained to Hanuman that these rings symbolized the cycle of time. In every age, Shri Rama incarnates, and his ring falls into Patala Loka. Hanuman comes to retrieve it in each age, and this cycle continues endlessly. This mystery symbolizes the infinity of creation and the continuous cycle of time. Thus, Shri Rama's ring became a symbol not just of a physical object, but of the profound mysteries of time and the universe.

 

 

Returning from Patala Loka, Hanuman saw that Lord Rama in Ayodhya was preparing to depart for his divine abode. Hanuman rushed to him, fell at his feet, and said, "Lord, can I not go with you? A single moment without you on this earth will be unbearable."

 

Lord Rama lifted Hanuman and said, "Hanuman, your task is not yet finished. You must participate in my leela (divine play) in Kali Yuga. Even when I incarnate as Shri Krishna, your presence will be necessary. You are immortal, and you must protect Dharma (righteousness) on earth."

 

 

Hanuman's journey teaches us that the cycle of life and death continues endlessly. It symbolizes the infinity of creation and the inevitability of destiny. Hanuman achieved maturity in his devotion and understanding. He dedicated his life to the service of Lord Rama and the protection of Dharma.
