The Legendary Story of Vijaya Ekadashi
According to religious beliefs, during the Treta Yuga, when Lord Shri Ram reached the seashore to launch an attack on Lanka, he prayed to the sea god for passage. However, the sea god refused. Then, following the instructions of Vakdalabhya Muni, Shri Ram observed the Vijaya Ekadashi fast with proper rituals. The effect of this fast was that the sea granted passage to Lord Ram, enabling him to reach Lanka and conquer Ravana. Since then, this date has been celebrated as Vijaya Ekadashi.
The Vijaya Ekadashi fast is considered extremely auspicious and conducive to achieving victory. On this day, worshipping Lord Vishnu with faith and devotion removes all life's difficulties and brings victory and prosperity.
