Spinach-beetroot soup prevents falling oxygen levels, strengthens immunity; how to prepare it
Patients suffering from the devastating effects of the coronavirus infection are often experiencing insufficient oxygen reaching their lungs. This oxygen deficiency is putting their lives at risk, as many patients succumb before treatment can begin due to the time wasted in searching for oxygen cylinders and arranging hospital beds. There is a widespread sense of mortality, and a palpable helplessness amongst authorities.
Amidst this crisis, some home remedies are proving beneficial. Numerous natural treatments are available at home that can assist during this crisis. Experts suggest that a soup made from spinach and beetroot can prevent a decline in oxygen levels in coronavirus patients.
Ayurvedic specialist Dr. S.K. Pandey of the Dr. S.K. Lohia Institute, after successfully administering this remedy to approximately 40 coronavirus patients, has written to the Ministry of Health and the Chief Minister urging its use on other patients. He suggests that elements present in the allopathic treatments for COVID-19, such as zinc, vitamin B-12, vitamin C, and calcium, are naturally found in spinach and beetroot. These ingredients are also rich in iron and nitric oxide. Nitric oxide, produced from iron, increases the amount of oxygen in the blood, providing ample oxygen to the lungs. Furthermore, this soup increases both red blood cells (RBCs) and white blood cells (WBCs), thereby strengthening the body's resistance against the coronavirus.
Dr. Pandey explains that when a person is infected with the coronavirus, the bronchioles in the lungs begin to constrict, preventing adequate oxygen from reaching the lungs. This condition can lead to pneumonia, with fluid buildup in the lungs. Consequently, the patient's oxygen levels rapidly decrease. However, consuming spinach-beetroot soup increases RBCs, which carries oxygen to the lungs. This boosts lung function by providing adequate oxygen, thereby preventing a rapid decline in oxygen levels. The iron in the soup enhances nitric oxide, further increasing the amount of oxygen reaching the lungs through the bloodstream, preventing a severe drop in oxygen levels and saving patients from serious complications.
This remedy, researched for nearly two years to improve blood circulation in neurology patients, has now proven effective for coronavirus patients as well.
How to prepare the soup?
Take one kilogram of spinach and half a kilogram of beetroot. Cook them in a pressure cooker without water for 10 minutes. Strain the cooked spinach and beetroot for use in the soup. Add rock salt and lemon juice to taste. Even those who are not infected can consume this soup to boost their immune system.
