Ingredients for Grape Dessert

 

• Grapes – 1 cup (green or black)
• Khoya (Mawa) – 1 cup
• Gram Flour (Besan) – 2 tablespoons
• Ghee – 2 tablespoons
• Sugar – ½ cup
• Cardamom Powder – ½ teaspoon
• Dry Fruits – 2 tablespoons (finely chopped almonds, cashews, pistachios)
• Saffron Strands – 4-5 (optional)

Method for Making Grape Dessert

1. Prepare Grape Puree

First, wash the grapes thoroughly and blend them into a smooth paste without adding any water.

2. Roast Gram Flour and Khoya

Add ghee to a pan and roast the gram flour over low heat. When the gram flour turns light golden and fragrant, add khoya and mix well. Roast for 2-3 minutes until both ingredients are well combined.

3. Add Sugar and Grape Paste

Now add sugar and the blended grape paste to this mixture. Cook while stirring continuously until the mixture thickens slightly.

4. Achieve the Right Texture

When the mixture is well cooked and starts to leave the sides of the pan, add cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits. Turn off the heat.

5. Shape and Garnish

Let the mixture cool slightly, then grease your hands with a little ghee and shape it into barfi or laddoos as desired. Garnish with chopped dry fruits and saffron.
