Easy Method for Making Paneer Do Pyaz

Paneer Do Pyaz is a very popular vegetarian recipe from North India. It involves pieces of paneer cooked in a flavorful and spicy gravy. Necessary Ingredients

250 grams paneer

4 onions

4 tomatoes, finely chopped

1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste

2 green chilies

2 teaspoons coriander powder

1 teaspoon garam masala

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon red chili powder

1 teaspoon cream

3 small cardamom pods

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)

1 bay leaf

Salt to taste

1 tablespoon oil

Recipe

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, cardamom pods, and green chilies. Let them splutter.

Now add ginger-garlic paste and finely chopped 2 onions. Cook until the onion paste turns light brown.

Add the tomato puree and cook for 3-5 minutes. Then, add salt, coriander powder, red chili powder, and garam masala powder. Sauté for a minute.

Add water and cook for 5-6 minutes.

Add grated onion and paneer to the gravy. Cover and cook for another 5 minutes.

Now, stir in kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves).

Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with chapati!
