Necessary Ingredients

• 2 cups cooked rice

• 1 onion (chopped)

• 1 carrot (thin, long slices)

• 1 bell pepper (thin, long slices)

• 4 green chilies (chopped)

• 1 cinnamon stick

• ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder

• 4 cloves

• ½ teaspoon cumin seeds

• 1 teaspoon crushed garlic

• Salt to taste

• Chopped fresh cilantro (coriander)

• 2 tablespoons ghee/oil

Recipe

Heat ghee/oil in a pan, then add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.

Add cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom powder, and sauté until fragrant.

Add the crushed garlic and sauté for a minute.

Add all the vegetables, green chilies, and salt. Cover and cook on low heat for 5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.

Add the cooked rice and mix well.

Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve.
