First, in a bowl, mix the besan and water thoroughly to create a smooth batter. Place a pan on medium heat and add the ghee. Once the ghee is hot, strain the batter through a sieve to form the motichoor (or boondi). Remove from heat. In a separate pan, combine water, sugar, and milk and bring to a boil. As the mixture starts boiling, add the yellow food coloring and cardamom powder. Now, add the prepared motichoor or boondi to the syrup and continue cooking. Once the mixture boils twice, remove from heat and let it rest for two to three minutes. Remove from the pan and mix in the chopped almonds. Allow the mixture to cool completely. Shape the mixture into small laddoos. The Motichoor Ladoo are now ready. Garnish with pistachios and serve.
