Fire Breaks Out During Screening of ‘Chhawa’: Vicky Kaushal’s film ‘Chhawa’ is enjoying tremendous box office success and has generated significant audience interest. Panic Grips Theatre During Screening

‘Chhawa’ has attracted large crowds, already grossing ₹385 crore. During a screening at PVR Cinemas in Select Citywalk Mall, Delhi, a fire erupted. Panic ensued, and the audience rushed for the exits.

Fire Erupts Near Theatre Screen

An eyewitness told PTI, "Around 4:15 PM on Wednesday, during a screening of ‘Chhawa,’ a fire suddenly broke out near the corner of the theatre screen." The fire alarm immediately sounded, and the panicked audience evacuated the theatre. Security personnel quickly cleared the cinema hall.

Fire Department and Police Control the Situation

Delhi Fire Service officials stated they received the alert at 5:42 PM and dispatched six fire tenders. Officials reported, "It was a small fire, and no one was injured." The fire was completely extinguished by 5:55 PM.

Delhi Police received a fire report from the Citywalk Mall in Saket at 5:57 PM. Police stated, "We received information that some people were trapped inside... Our team quickly reached the spot and brought the situation under control. No casualties were reported." While the incident created fear among the audience, no major damage occurred.

‘Chhawa’ features Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Akshay Khanna as Aurangzeb. Rashmika Mandanna plays Vicky Kaushal's wife. This historical film is directed by Laxman Utekar. The film is receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from audiences and is performing exceptionally well at the box office.
