Shah Arrives by Helicopter
Home Minister Shah arrived in Kathua via a special air service helicopter, landing at a temporary helipad constructed approximately 8 kilometers from the border. Unprecedented security arrangements were made throughout Kathua district for his visit. Besides the BSF, local police and other security agencies were on high alert.
Meeting with the Family of Humayun Bhat
Amit Shah is scheduled to stay overnight at Raj Bhavan on Monday evening, but before that, he will meet the family members of martyred DSP Humayun Muzammil Bhat. DSP Bhat attained martyrdom on September 13, 2023, while fighting terrorists in the Gadul forest area of Kokernag in Anantnag district. This encounter lasted for a prolonged period, resulting in the martyrdom of four security personnel.
Focus on Security Review and Development Projects
On Tuesday, Amit Shah will meet with top security officials and forces of Jammu and Kashmir. This meeting will discuss counter-terrorism operations, border security, drone infiltration, and anti-infiltration measures. Separately, he will also review the progress of development projects in the state, including road construction, healthcare services, and tourism expansion.
