Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a visit to Maharashtra. He will pay homage on the death anniversary of Shivaji Maharaj and meet Sunil Tatkare to attempt to resolve the Mahayuti alliance dispute.

Raigad, Maharashtra – Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a two-day tour of Maharashtra. During this visit, he will pay homage on the 345th death anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This visit is considered to be of significant cultural and political importance, especially amidst the ongoing internal disputes within the Mahayuti alliance.

Shah's Detailed Schedule in Raigad

From around 10:30 AM on Saturday, Amit Shah will be visiting the Jijamata Memorial in Raigad district. Following this, he will proceed to Raigad Fort, the former capital of the Maratha Empire. At the fort, he will offer floral tributes at the memorial of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and participate in commemorative events.

Political Gesture: Lunch at Sunil Tatkare's Residence

Amit Shah may also visit the residence of NCP MP Sunil Tatkare for lunch. This move is considered politically significant, as disagreements within the Mahayuti arose over the appointment of Tatkare's daughter, Aditi Tatkare, as the guardian minister of Raigad.

Attempt at Reconciliation within the Mahayuti Alliance?

According to sources, Amit Shah's visit is not limited to cultural homage. His aim is also to resolve the ongoing disputes within the Mahayuti coalition. Notably, Eknath Shinde had previously objected to Aditi Tatkare's appointment, creating a rift within the alliance. Subsequently, CM Devendra Fadnavis imposed a moratorium on all appointments in Raigad and Nashik.

Shah's Balancing Act: Culture and Politics

Through this visit, Amit Shah is not only paying respect to Maratha history and culture but also taking steps to consolidate the Mahayuti alliance politically.
