Kharakhoda: A massive fire broke out in a paint factory in Sonipat's Firozpur Bangar industrial area on Monday night, creating fear among nearby residents. The fire spread so quickly that two other factories were destroyed in the intense blaze. The intense heat caused drums of flammable chemicals stored in the factories to explode violently, further escalating the fire's intensity.
Explosions Rock the Area
Upon receiving reports of the fire, 15 fire engines arrived at the scene. After hours of effort, the fire was brought under control. The explosions resulted in a thick, black plume of smoke visible for kilometers. This incident marks the second major fire in the industrial area within the last 14 days, raising concerns among local entrepreneurs and workers.
The fire was so intense that all materials inside the factories were completely destroyed, resulting in an estimated loss of crores of rupees. Fortunately, there were no reports of casualties. The administration has launched an investigation into the cause of the fire and is reviewing safety protocols.
Similar Incidents in the Past
It is noteworthy that a similar fire incident occurred on February 20th at Krishna Polymer Factory in Pipli village, Kharakhoda, where firefighters took four and a half hours to extinguish the blaze. The recurring fires in the industrial area raise serious questions about safety measures, prompting the administration to take stringent action.
