Delhi News: The escalating conflict between the judiciary and the executive has fueled political controversy. Justice B.R. Gavai, the Supreme Court judge set to become the Chief Justice next month, commented on the matter. During a hearing on West Bengal violence, Gavai stated that the judiciary will not interfere in the executive's affairs.

Hearing on West Bengal Violence

A petition was filed in the Supreme Court against the violence in West Bengal, where advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain demanded the deployment of paramilitary forces to control the violence. He further requested the court to order the central government to deploy security forces and constitute a panel to investigate the violence.

Supreme Court's Statement: Accusations of Interference

Responding to the petition, Justice B.R. Gavai said, "Do you want us to order the President?" He further added, "We are already accused of interfering in the executive's work."

BJP Leaders' Reaction to Judicial Decisions

Reacting to this, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey stated, "If the Supreme Court makes all the decisions, then the Parliament House should be shut down." This statement sparked controversy, with several opposition leaders demanding action against Dubey.

Supreme Court's Attention on Ruling Party Leaders' Statements

The Supreme Court, while taking note of the entire matter, clarified that the judiciary should not interfere in the executive's work. Justice Gavai stated that the court is closely monitoring the statements made by the ruling party leaders.

What Was the Entire Case About?

Earlier, while hearing a petition from the Tamil Nadu government, the Supreme Court had ordered the President and the Governor not to indefinitely withhold any bill. Following this order, BJP leaders had objected.
