Five Family Members Killed in Uttarakhand Thar Vehicle Accident
Tehri News: A Thar vehicle traveling from Faridabad to Chamoli in Uttarakhand's Tehri district plunged into a deep gorge after veering off the road. The accident resulted in the death of five members of the same family, while one woman survived. The incident occurred around 3:00 AM while the family was traveling to attend a wedding.
Accident Near Devprayag
The accident took place near Bhagwan, approximately 15 km from Devprayag on the Badrinath Highway. The Thar vehicle fell into a gorge approximately 250 meters deep, eventually ending up in the Alaknanda River. Anita Negi, a woman in the vehicle, survived the accident. However, her son Aditya, sister Mina Gusai, husband Sunil Gusai, and two children perished.
Cause: Speed and Possible Drowsiness
Police and SDRF teams reached the scene, retrieved the bodies, and admitted the surviving woman to a hospital. The accident is believed to have been caused by speeding and possibly drowsiness. The Thar vehicle broke through a cement parapet on the road before falling into the gorge.

The deceased have been identified, and the surviving woman has been admitted to a hospital in Srinagar. This accident has deeply shocked the entire family.
Grief and Loss
Anita Negi's husband served in the Indian Army, and their younger daughter resides in Roorkee. This accident is a devastating blow to the family, and the surviving woman's health is also suffering from the shock.
