As soon as Babli entered the house after returning from school, her mother, Kanchan, said sternly, "Babli, come upstairs immediately!"

"Mom, I'll get something from Aunt first," Babli insisted.

But Kanchan's voice became even stricter, "If you go to your aunt's room, you'll be punished!"

Babli was frightened and went straight upstairs. Angrily, she said, "Mom, Aunt always keeps something for me. When Sweety comes, she'll get everything, and I'll be left with nothing!"

"You don't need to go to your aunt's from now on," Kanchan said firmly.

Sweety's school bus stopped downstairs. Kanchan called her upstairs as well. Both sisters were worried. Sweety asked, "Mom, did something happen to Aunt?"

Kanchan briefly explained, "We're not going to live here anymore. Your father is looking for a rented house."

"But what happened, Mom?" Babli asked.

"Nothing, we'll just live separately now."

That evening, the house was silent. Both families lived in the same house, but now everyone was in their own rooms. Babli and Sweety didn't understand what was happening.

The next morning, all the belongings were packed. The car was waiting at the door. Babli and Sweety longed to see their uncle and aunt, but their door was closed. As the car started, both sisters knocked on the door, but there was no answer from inside.

Reason for the Separation

Upon arriving at their new rented house, Kanchan began unpacking. Babli and Sweety watched silently. Saurav explained, "Children, we feel bad too, but you don't know what happened to us. Your uncle took over our ancestral shop. He opened a separate shop for his son, Rohan, and said, 'You have daughters, what do you need?'"

Gradually, Saurav and Kanchan instilled resentment towards their uncle and aunt in their daughters' hearts. Four years passed. If they ever saw their aunt or Rohan in the market, both sisters would ignore them.

A Phone Call Changed Everything

At two o'clock in the morning, Kanhaiyalal's phone rang. He was asleep, but when he saw it was Saurav calling, he was startled. He answered the call, and on the other end, Sweety was crying, "Uncle, Papa suddenly fainted. I'm very scared. Please come quickly!" Kanhaiyalal immediately went with his wife and Rohan. The doctor said it was a minor heart attack. His life was saved thanks to timely treatment.

When Kanchan said tremblingly, "Sister-in-law, if you hadn't been there today, I don't know what would have happened. Please forgive us," Saurav also spoke up, "Brother, I shouldn't have left you."

Kanhaiyalal smiled, "You're my younger brother, forget all this. I've given the old shop in your daughters' names. The papers are at home." Tears welled up in Saurav's eyes, "Brother, I don't want anything, just promise that if anything happens to me, you'll take care of my family."

Shanti said lovingly, "You're my brother-in-law, but I didn't see any difference between you and Rohan. We separated the shop so we could go on a pilgrimage, but maybe we couldn't explain it to you."

The Call of Rakhi

Then Rohan said, "Will my sisters tie me a rakhi now? My wrist has been empty for four years." Everyone laughed. The family was reunited. They returned to their old house and rented out the new one. A misunderstanding had broken the bonds, but time had reconnected them. Because no matter how tangled the threads of family are, the knot of love can always mend them.
