Introducing the famous and inspiring story of Mowgli

One day, during the hot summer season long ago, all the animals in the jungle were resting. After a good rest, a pack of wolves went out hunting in the evening. One of them, a wolf named Daruka, after going a short distance, heard the sound of a child crying from the bushes. Approaching the bushes, the wolf found a child lying on the ground, naked. The wolf was startled by the sight of the child and took him to his pack's den.

Thus, a human child was raised amongst the wolves. Seeing the child with the wolves, the jungle's tiger, Sher Khan, became enraged, as he had intended to carry the child back to his own den for food.

The wolf raised the human child as one of his own. His pack included some young wolves and their mother, Raksha. Raksha named the child Mowgli. Mowgli found a family and considered the wolves his siblings, living among them.

Daruka had also informed his wife, Raksha, to protect the child from Sher Khan's eyes, as the tiger wanted to eat him. Raksha took great care to ensure this, never letting her children or Mowgli out of her sight. In time, all the animals in the jungle became Mowgli's good friends. Sher Khan, on the other hand, kept a watchful eye on Mowgli from afar, waiting for the right moment to hunt him.

The pack of wolves was led by a wise wolf; the group also included a bear named Baloo and a panther named Bagheera. They gathered together to discuss Mowgli, deciding that he needed to be raised like a wolf. The pack leader addressed his companions, Bagheera and Baloo, instructing them to teach Mowgli the rules and regulations of the jungle, as well as protecting him. Thus, a year passed as Mowgli lived in the jungle. Mowgli gradually grew older, and Baloo and Bagheera taught him not only the rules but also how to protect himself. By the time Mowgli reached adulthood, he had learned the language of several animals. He had also learned to climb trees, swim in rivers, and hunt with ease. Bagheera taught Mowgli how to avoid traps and nets set by humans, and how to escape if caught in them.

One day, a young wolf from the group became trapped in a hunter's net. Sher Khan wanted to eat the trapped wolf, but Mowgli arrived before him and rescued the little wolf. Sher Khan was furious. A few days later, he tried to capture Mowgli, but Mowgli evaded him. In his anger, Sher Khan decided to seek the help of the monkeys, who resided in another part of the jungle. They were known to be quite formidable. Upon hearing of Sher Khan's plan, the king of the monkeys agreed to capture Mowgli. The monkey king ordered his troop to capture Mowgli. After a couple of days of observation, the monkeys abducted Mowgli and took him to a mountain surrounded by dense forests.

Mowgli, anticipating that Bagheera and Baloo would find out about his capture, spotted an eagle soaring in the sky. He called out to the eagle, asking for help, to inform Bagheera and Baloo of his predicament. The eagle, upon hearing Mowgli’s pleas, quickly flew to Bagheera and Baloo in the jungle.

Upon hearing about Mowgli, Bagheera and Baloo went to seek the help of a python named Kaa. Initially, Kaa refused. But after Bagheera and Baloo explained the situation, Kaa agreed to assist. Together, they set out to rescue Mowgli. They arrived in the monkey's territory and observed from a hidden location. They saw hundreds of monkeys. Soon, Kaa announced that it was time to rescue Mowgli. The three launched a surprise attack. Bagheera struck the monkeys with his claws, while the monkeys attacked Baloo. Kaa, meanwhile, began striking the monkeys with his tail. The monkeys, scared, fled. The three breathed a sigh of relief, and Kaa broke through the barricade and rescued Mowgli. Mowgli, upon being set free, ran and hid behind a tree.

Suddenly, the monkeys attacked again, surrounding Bagheera. The monkeys captured Mowgli once more. Mowgli, seeing Bagheera in distress, remembered that monkeys were afraid of water. He shouted at Bagheera, telling him to jump into the water, as monkeys feared water. Bagheera immediately jumped into the water and escaped the monkeys' grasp. After a while, Mowgli escaped the monkeys' captivity and reached a human settlement.

In that village, he met a woman named Messua, whose child had been taken by a tiger years ago. Mowgli lived with Messua in the village. The villagers allowed him to stay and entrusted him with the responsibility of caring for the animals.

Days later, Mowgli's wolf brother found him in the village. He immediately went to Mowgli and informed him that Sher Khan was planning to kill him. Mowgli understood that Sher Khan would not let him go so easily, so he devised a plan to eliminate him, seeking the help of his wolf brothers. He instructed the wolves to lead Sher Khan to a valley. Once Sher Khan reached the valley, Mowgli released a herd of buffaloes from both sides, and he himself rode one of them. Sher Khan was trampled under the hooves of the buffaloes and died.

Mowgli, now fearless, continued to live with the villagers. After some time, some villagers accused Mowgli of sorcery and drove him out of the village.

Mowgli had grown by this time. He went to the jungle. A period of time later, his wolf brothers and sisters died. He wandered alone, dejected. He then encountered Messua again. Mowgli recounted his entire story to Messua, who believed that the son she had lost to the tiger was Mowgli. Messua told him her story, and they decided to live together. Thereafter, Mowgli happily lived in human settlements, visiting the jungle and his animal friends whenever possible.

This story teaches us - that with determination, every hardship can be overcome. It is important for all people to treat animals with love and kindness, and they can become friends who help in times of need.
