Air India flight AI-379 departed Phuket Airport at 9:30 AM local time on Friday for Delhi. However, according to FlightRadar24, the aircraft circled the Andaman Sea before returning to Phuket Airport. The pilots demonstrated composure and vigilance, ensuring passenger safety.

Authorities Release Information

Following the incident, an official informed Reuters that flight AI-379 had landed safely. All 156 passengers on board are safe. A thorough security check of the aircraft was conducted as per protocol, and no suspicious items have been found.

Bomb Threat Creates Alarm Among Security Agencies

Upon receiving the threat, airport authorities and security agencies were immediately placed on high alert. Security personnel surrounded the aircraft immediately after landing, and a bomb squad conducted a thorough search. The method of the threat and the individuals responsible remain unclear. That flight, which departed at 5:39 AM, remained airborne for three hours before returning.

Air India issued an official statement explaining that the situation in Iran and the temporary closure of airspace resulted in route changes or returns to origin for some flights.

Ahmedabad Flight Accident Claims 265 Lives

The day before this incident, an Air India flight from Ahmedabad to London was involved in a serious accident. Seconds after takeoff, the aircraft collided with a hostel building in the city. There were 242 people on board, with 241 fatalities. Several others were injured in the hostel, bringing the total death toll to 265.
