Former Congress councilor Munawwar Khan Qaimkhani from Ajmer committed suicide by jumping in front of a train, reportedly due to distress from an illness. A suicide note was recovered from the scene. Police have initiated an investigation and are gathering information from the family.
Ajmer: A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday evening in Ajmer city, Rajasthan, when former nominated councilor Munawwar Khan Qaimkhani (50) committed suicide by jumping in front of a train. Police recovered a suicide note from the scene, in which he held himself responsible for his death and cited illness as the reason. Police have registered a case and commenced an investigation.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the Alwar Gate police station team immediately arrived at the scene and gathered information from eyewitnesses. A suicide note and personal documents were recovered from the deceased, which have been seized for further investigation.
Incident Near Railway Station in Alwar
The incident occurred near Gulab Bari railway crossing, where the railway station master informed the police station that a person had been hit by a train. Alwar Gate Police Station House Officer Narendra Jakhar and his team immediately inspected the scene.
According to local residents, Munawwar Khan had been suffering from an illness for a long time. Upon hearing the sound of the accident, nearby people rushed to the scene, but no one could save him. The injured person was immediately identified as the deceased.
Reason for Death Written in Suicide Note
In the suicide note found with Munawwar Khan, he wrote that he was distressed by his illness and that he alone was responsible for his death. He explicitly stated that no one else should be troubled. Police have seized this note and initiated an investigation to confirm the reasons for the suicide.
Along with the suicide note, the deceased's personal documents were also recovered, through which the police are attempting to understand his health and mental condition.
