According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), 24-carat gold opened at ₹96,011 per 10 grams today, a ₹900 increase from Tuesday's closing price of ₹95,108. Similarly, silver also saw a surge, reaching ₹97,390 per kg today, approximately ₹1,000 more than yesterday.

According to the Panchang, Akshaya Tritiya began at 5:31 PM on April 29th and will conclude at 2:12 PM on April 30th. The most auspicious time for buying gold is considered to be from 5:40 AM to 12:18 PM today. If you are planning to invest in gold, this is an ideal time.

Gold Prices in Major Cities Across India

Slight variations in gold prices were observed today across cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Jaipur, and others. 24-carat gold is selling between ₹97,520 and ₹97,670 per 10 grams in most cities. 22-carat gold is priced around ₹89,390 to ₹89,540, while 18-carat gold is approximately ₹73,100 to ₹73,260 per 10 grams.

Increased Demand Fuels Price Surge

Market experts believe the significant increase in gold prices is due to the heightened demand from jewelers and retail buyers in the period leading up to Akshaya Tritiya. On Tuesday, gold prices in Delhi's Sarrafa Bazaar jumped by ₹1,050, reaching ₹99,450 per 10 grams. Silver also saw a substantial rise, exceeding ₹102,000 per kg on Tuesday.
