Public Relationships and Breakup Challenges
Anusha Dandekar and Karan Kundrra's relationship began in 2016, and for many years, they were considered a power couple in the television industry. They even hosted a love-themed show together, which highlighted their chemistry. However, their relationship ended in 2021. Anusha recently told Humans of Bombay, without naming Karan,
'When you escape a relationship, you feel relieved. Especially when you feel the relationship is no longer meant for you. But I don't blame only the media for this, because we made it public. When you post pictures on social media and share your relationship on public platforms, it also impacts your private life.'
Anusha further added that when she decided to make the relationship public, she should have realized that people's reactions were inevitable upon its end. If you present your relationship to the world, you also have to bear the consequences if it goes wrong. One must learn to balance privacy and publicity.
Anusha Says - 'Received Most Hate from Women'
Anusha explained that she decided to speak publicly about her breakup because her followers deserved to know the truth. My fans have been connected with me for years; they witnessed my journey and my relationship. In such a scenario, it was my responsibility to tell them what actually happened. Suddenly ignoring them and saying they were encroaching on my personal space would not have been right.
Without naming Karan, Anusha also stated that when you host a love show and talk about love, it is also important to convey that everything is not perfect in real life. If I am talking about love on the show, I also have to explain that things in my life have not always been in my favor. I am human, and I make mistakes. I want people to see me as I truly am.
Sharing her experience, Anusha said that after the breakup, she faced the most hate from women. What was most shocking to me was that I received more hate from women than from men. I did not expect this. I always wished for women to support each other, but after the breakup, I faced the harshest criticism from women themselves.
