Discussions have intensified over proposals to make the operational and administrative system of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya more professional. According to sources, a proposal is under consideration to organise and manage the trust's functioning in a structured and professional manner similar to that of a large corporate or multinational company.

Under the proposed plan, trained and experienced professionals could be appointed across various departments to make temple management, financial operations, devotee services and administrative functions more systematic.

It is being reported that the proposal includes assigning responsibilities to specialists from different fields. These could include professionals associated with financial management, human resources, information technology, security, public relations, pilgrim management and other administrative services.

Meanwhile, discussions have also emerged regarding the possible role of an IAS officer within the trust. Some reports claim that certain trust members do not want a serving or retired IAS officer to be appointed to a position that could lead to concerns over increased government intervention. However, this claim is based on reports and sources, and no official decision on the matter has been made public by the trust.

Management experts believe that, given the growing number of devotees at major religious institutions across the country, adopting a professional management system could improve transparency, accountability and service quality. According to them, it could also help organise financial management, digital services, security arrangements, crowd control and the operation of facilities in a more systematic manner.

A large number of devotees visit the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya every day for darshan. As a result, the temple administration continues to face challenges related to crowd management, security, cleanliness, transportation, prasad distribution, donation management and other arrangements. Experts say that a professional administrative structure could help address these challenges.

According to legal experts, the trust's structure, appointments and administrative decisions are made in accordance with the relevant rules, the trust's bylaws and applicable legal provisions. Any major change requires authorised decisions by the trust and compliance with the necessary procedures.

The trust has not made any final official announcement on the matter. Any decision regarding the appointment of professional staff, possible changes to the administrative structure or the role of an IAS officer can only be considered confirmed after an official statement or proposal is issued by the trust.
