Baaghi-4 Dominates Box Office on Opening Day, Outperforming The Bengal Files

Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Bengal Files' earned 1.75 crore on its opening day at the box office, while Tiger Shroff-Sanjay Dutt starrer 'Baaghi-4' had an opening of 12 crore. Despite the story, stardom propelled 'Baaghi-4' to success.

Box Office: A clash of two major Bollywood films was witnessed at the box office on Friday. Vivek Agnihotri's directed 'The Bengal Files' and Tiger Shroff starrer 'Baaghi 4' hit the theaters simultaneously. There was considerable excitement among the audience due to the distinct genres and star casts of both films, but the first day's collection once again proved that the allure of big stars can surpass the story.

'Baaghi-4' Collected 12 Crore on the First Day

Tiger Shroff's 'Baaghi' franchise created a stir at the box office in 2016. The film began with Shraddha Kapoor, and subsequently, 'Baaghi-2' and 'Baaghi-3' did not disappoint the audience. The recently released 'Baaghi-4' collected 12 crore rupees on its very first day.

Although there were criticisms regarding the story, and the audience deemed it average, Tiger Shroff and Sanjay Dutt's pairing created fireworks on screen, and the action sequences provided a thrilling experience to the viewers. This was the reason for the film's b start at the box office.

'The Bengal Files' Earned 1.75 Crore on the First Day

Meanwhile, Vivek Agnihotri's film 'The Bengal Files' earned 1.75 crore rupees on its first day. The film was praiseworthy for its narrative. Experienced actors like Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, and Priyanshu Chatterjee drew the audience's attention with their powerful performances.

'The Bengal Files' is based on the riots and events of 1971 in Bengal during the time of independence. The film offered the audience a glimpse of direct action and social events. While the film impressed beyond expectations in terms of story and performance, it could not leave as much of an impact at the box office as its b narrative suggested.

'The Bengal Files' Suffers at the Box Office

The difference in the first-day collection of both films proves that big stars hold more importance at the box office than the story. In 'Baaghi-4', the names of Tiger Shroff and Sanjay Dutt alone proved to be a major draw for the film. Despite an average storyline, stardom pulled audiences to the cinemas.

On the other hand, 'The Bengal Files' had a weak first-day collection, even with big actors like Mithun Chakraborty and Anupam Kher. A possible reason for this could be that the film's subject was sensitive and serious, whereas 'Baaghi-4' is an entertaining and light-hearted action film.

Box Office Challenge for the Weekend

The first-day figures are a signal for the audience and critics. 'Baaghi-4' is expected to gain further momentum over the weekend with its b opening. Meanwhile, 'The Bengal Files' will have to attract audiences to theaters through word-of-mouth, relying on its narrative and acting.

There is a possibility of improvement in the box office collection of 'The Bengal Files' over the weekend if the audience appreciates the depth of its story and historical significance. On the other hand, 'Baaghi-4' will continue to attract audiences due to its straightforward and entertaining story.
