Wall Collapses in Heavy Rain

This incident happened on Tuesday morning when heavy rain was falling in Bageshwar Dham. During this time, the wall of a ढाबा adjacent to the complex collapsed. Many people were buried under the debris in the accident. According to eyewitnesses, the incident happened so suddenly that no one got a chance to react. After the accident, cries of help erupted at the scene.

Dr. R.P. Gupta, the CMHO of Chhatarpur, said that a total of 10 people were injured in the accident, of whom one had died. 1-2 people have suffered serious injuries and are being treated under the supervision of doctors. Relief and rescue operations were immediately started by the administration.

Dhirendra Shastri Expresses Grief

After the accident, Bageshwar Dham Sarkar Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri has expressed deep grief. He has also appealed to the devotees to celebrate the Guru Purnima festival in their respective homes this time, considering the rain and the continuously increasing crowd.

He said that lakhs of devotees are reaching the Dham every day, due to which the arrangements are being affected. On top of that, the rain has added to the difficulties. In such a situation, all the devotees should do their devotion while staying at home. Devotion comes from the heart, not from the place.

Dhirendra Shastri has also appealed for cooperation from the administration so that order can be maintained in the Dham and there is no kind of disorder.

Safety of Devotees is Paramount

Lakhs of devotees visit Bageshwar Dham every year on the occasion of Guru Purnima, but this time, considering the impact of the weather and the logistical challenges, the Dham administration and Pandit Dhirendra Shastri took a big decision in time. Keeping in mind the safety of the devotees, he has made this appeal so that any other untoward incident can be avoided.
