The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Team India squad for the upcoming three-ODI and five-T20I series against Australia in October-November. With this announcement, the Indian team has ushered in a new era in One Day Internationals.

Sports News: The Senior Men's Selection Committee has announced India's squad for the upcoming three-ODI and five-T20I series against Australia in October-November. This time, a new era has begun in the ODI team, as Shubman Gill has been appointed captain in place of Rohit Sharma.

Additionally, Shreyas Iyer has been named the vice-captain of the Indian ODI team. Fast bowlers Siraj, Nitish Kumar, and Dhruv Jurel have been included in the squad. KL Rahul and Dhruv Jurel will share wicketkeeping duties. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja could not secure a spot in the ODI team this time.

Shubman Gill (Captain), Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer (Vice-captain), Axar Patel, KL Rahul (Wicketkeeper), Nitish Kumar Reddy, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Dhruv Jurel (Wicketkeeper), and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Ravindra Jadeja has not found a place in this team. Siraj, Nitish Kumar, and Dhruv Jurel have been given new responsibilities. KL Rahul and Dhruv Jurel will be in charge of wicketkeeping. The most surprising news across both the ODI and T20 teams is the exclusion of Hardik Pandya. Despite his excellent performance in the Asia Cup, he is not in the squad due to injury.
