A couple died in a collision between a trailer and a car on NH-158 in Bhilwara, while their son, daughter, and daughter-in-law are seriously injured. The car was completely damaged in the accident, and a pall of gloom has descended upon the family.

Bhilwara: A horrific road accident occurred on National Highway-158 in the Asind region of the district on Thursday. Near Paldi village, a trailer collided with a car, completely damaging it. Gautam Kawadia and his wife Varuna Devi Jain, who were in the car, died on the spot in the accident.

Along with the couple, their daughter Janvi, son Rishabh, and daughter-in-law were seriously injured in the incident. The injured were first brought to Asind CHC, where after primary treatment, they were referred to Bhilwara Mahatma Gandhi Hospital.

Treatment of the Injured Continues in Hospital

The condition of the injured is reported to be serious. According to hospital sources, the treatment of daughter Janvi, son Rishabh, and daughter-in-law is ongoing, and a team of doctors is continuously monitoring and treating them.

Immediately after the incident, Asind police and local residents engaged in relief and rescue operations. The bodies of the deceased couple were placed in the mortuary of Asind CHC. Police also temporarily closed traffic on the highway after the accident, and currently, traffic is smooth on the road.

Family Grieves After Accident

The deceased Gautam Kawadia was a native of Asind and had recently been residing in Bhilwara. He and his wife were renowned wholesale tea leaf merchants. Their family was well-known in the Jain community.

This accident has spread a wave of grief throughout the entire region, including the Jain community. Local residents and the business community are expressing their sorrow over the gravity of the incident.

Police Investigation into Asind Accident Continues

Asind's Deputy Police Officer Omprakash stated that an investigation into the accident has been initiated. A technical inspection of the trailer driver and the vehicle is being conducted to determine the causes of the accident.

Police stated that this incident on NH-158 highlights the need for road safety and vehicle control. In the future, additional surveillance and safety measures will be implemented on the road to prevent such accidents.
