Bihar Voter List: Amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding the voter list in Bihar in preparation for the upcoming assembly elections, the Election Commission has provided relief to the general public. The commission has clarified that voters can now submit the enumeration form without any documents or photos. This announcement was made through advertisements in newspapers.
Forms Accepted Without Documents
The Election Commission has made it clear that even if a voter does not have the necessary documents or photos, they can still fill out the enumeration form and submit it to the BLO (Booth Level Officer). The aim is to ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the list. The commission has appealed to the public to fill out the forms in a timely manner and submit them to the relevant officials.
Exemption for Existing Voter List Holders
The commission has also clarified that those whose names were registered in the voter list by January 1, 2003, do not need to submit any additional documents. This information is available on the Election Commission's website. According to the commission, if an individual possesses documents, the application process will be simplified. However, even if they do not have documents, their application will be accepted based on local verification or other proof.
Deadline for Filling Forms
In the advertisement, the Election Commission has set the deadline for filling the enumeration form as July 26, 2025. This process has already started from June 25th. The draft voter list will be published on August 1, 2025. Following this, claims and objections can be registered from August 1st to September 1st. The final voter list will be published on September 30, 2025.
Volunteer Facility Also Available
The Election Commission has also announced a volunteer facility for elderly, disabled, and special category voters. Volunteers will be deployed to assist eligible voters so they can complete the process without difficulty.

Enumeration Form is Mandatory for All Voters
The Election Commission has clarified that even if a voter already has a voter card, they are still required to fill out the enumeration form. The purpose of this is to update the voter list in order to avoid any kind of discrepancies in the upcoming elections.
