Bihar Farmers to Receive ₹3000 Instalment Under PM Kisan Yojana as Annual Assistance Rises to ₹9000

Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan Yojana), farmers in Bihar will receive ₹3000 in one instalment instead of the earlier ₹2000, raising the total annual assistance to ₹9000. The additional amount will be provided by the Bihar government from its budget.

Farmers will continue to receive the financial assistance in three instalments. Those awaiting the 22nd instalment may receive the payment on March 13, 2026, although no official confirmation has been issued so far.

The objective of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan Yojana) is to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers. Under the scheme, farmers receive ₹6000 annually, which is transferred directly into their bank accounts in three instalments of ₹2000 each.

In Bihar, the state government has decided to provide an additional ₹1000 along with the central assistance. As a result, farmers in the state will receive a total annual assistance of ₹9000.

During the presentation of the Bihar budget, Finance Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav announced that farmers in the state would receive an additional ₹3000 annually under the PM Kisan Yojana, apart from the regular central assistance.

Under this decision, farmers will receive ₹3000 in one instalment, while the remaining two instalments will remain unchanged. The measure is intended to provide farmers with additional financial support for agricultural activities.

However, the payment has not yet been released, and there is now a possibility that the funds will be transferred to farmers’ bank accounts on March 13, 2026. On that day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Assam, where he may announce the release of the instalment.

On the homepage, click on the Farmers Corner section.
Then select Beneficiary Status.
Enter the registration number and mobile number.
The instalment status will appear on the screen.

Through this process, farmers can verify whether the instalment amount has been credited to their accounts.
