Political controversy and debate over language have once again intensified in Bihar's politics. An audio clip of RJD MLA from Maner, Bhai Virendra, has gone viral, in which he is allegedly heard using abusive language during a phone conversation with Panchayat Secretary Sandeep Kumar. The matter is gradually spreading from social media to Panchayat Secretary Sandeep's ancestral village, where there is widespread resentment.
Villagers of Beldari say - Insult will not be tolerated
Panchayat Secretary Sandeep Kumar's ancestral home is in Beldari village, located in the Muffasil police station area of Bettiah in West Champaran district. As soon as the audio went viral and reached the village, the villagers erupted in anger. The villagers say that Sandeep is a decent, honest, and conscientious young man. A villager named Rajendra Sharma said that Sandeep has never been rude to anyone and has always been worthy of respect for the village.
The villagers expressed their displeasure over the language used by the RJD MLA and demanded that an impartial inquiry be conducted into the matter and that appropriate action be taken against whoever is found guilty.
Father recounts his son's struggle
Sandeep Kumar's father gave an emotional reaction to the media regarding his son. He said that Sandeep's childhood was very challenging. His mother passed away when he was a child, after which he was raised by his grandmother. He said that Sandeep studied with hard work and honesty and gave his life a direction. The father recalled that when Sandeep was studying, his guru said – "The head may be cut off, but should not bow down." Today, he has lived up to that principle.
What is the whole matter?
The matter is from July 26, 2025, when MLA Bhai Virendra called Panchayat Secretary Sandeep Kumar regarding a death certificate. During the conversation, the MLA allegedly became angry with the Secretary's response and used abusive language, after which the audio of the phone call went viral. When this dispute escalated, on July 28, Sandeep Kumar filed a complaint against the RJD MLA at the SC/ST police station.
Now this matter has not only taken a political but also a legal turn. It remains to be seen what comes out in the investigation and what the outcome of this dispute will be.
